Our mission is straightforward:
To work with Grain Producers to harvest this year's bumper crop
An important secondary objective is to provide former and retired ADF members with an opportunity to earn good wages doing seasonal harvest work in the Grains Industry. For some, this could be the start of annual harvest work, as a superannuation/pre-summer holiday top up or caravan update program. For a few, it could even be the start of a new career as a well-travelled professional Grain Harvester, operating similar machines at good rates in many locations around the world.
Follow this process to help ensure we not only achieve the mission but to ensure Grain Producers and former ADF members get the most out of this opportunity.
A number of the process steps assist the volunteer project organiser's to manage the project and to provide support and manage issues, when required.
Grain Producers and/or Harvest Contractors will provide former ADF members with on-arrival induction and safety training as well as machine-specific training.
Online we have a number of videos and training to assist in orienting former ADF members to the farm and harvest environment.
We plan to expand the on-line training at a later date.
If you relocate to take up short-term harvest work in a regional or remote area, the Australian Government's AgMove will help pay your relocation costs.
